Thien Mu Pagoda – Hue – Vietnam

Thien Mu Pagoda in Hue is popular stop for locals and travelers.

Originally built way back in 1601, the pagoda offers a fascinating history and superb views along the Perfume River. At the Pagoda, you will also find the old blue Austin car (see below) that  was used to drive the Monk, Thich Quang Duc to Saigon in 1963, who on arrival, adopted the lotus position and set himself on fire in protest against the Diem regime.
